Five things I have learned about the coursework

- Through the coursework, I have learned that the subject is fairly challenging. I did not know the theory has such a thorough grounding e.g. Media language or exploring the structures of a project.
- Also, it is interesting to see how camera movements and framing can trigger different emotional effects on the viewer. Such as shooting from the low angle the subject looks big and terrifying.
- To produce a well-made project a lot of effort goes into preparation, for example, you need to research about: the plot, the setting/time, the genre etc.
- I have learned that a high film budget can score you better chances of casting A class actors.
- Different film genres have different film openings e.g. in a drama film the subject takes up a smaller portion of the frame whereas the background is dominant or the color cast is cold toned, etc.
