AUDIENCE: Target younger audience

1. Develop Social Media Platform:

  • Identify which platform their target audience use the most.
  • E.g. Pintrest has more female user. Therefore when targeting a female audience this platform should be prioritised.
2. Keep Up-to-Date:
  • It is important to remain up on new trends emerging in the digital space.
  • Be aware of what other companies are doing.
3. Dive into Conversation:
  • Social media gives the best opportunity to have real-time conversation with their consumer, target audience and friends.
  • Include a good dose of engagement and conversing with people.
4. Stay Relevant:
  • Do research which cultural topics and influencers their target audience is talking about.
  • An easy way of doing so is to search for popular hashtags on social media.
  • Overlap audience's interest to excite and engage consumer.
5. Create Content with High Share Value:
  • High share value is more likely to create a viral effect.
  • Consumer tend to share content that is less promotional and more personal. Therefore include  some inspirational content.
6. Strong Visuals are Key:
  • Sharing photos is a common way for consumer to communicate their interests and ideas.
  • Consumers are likely to engage on posts with striking imagery.
7. Produce Compelling Videos:
  • Youtube or Instagram is a growing platform and it is great to reach big audience.
8. Optimise for mobile:
  • These days more people are using their phone.
  • Make sure contents look great and easy to share.
9. Implement an Influencer Strategy:
  • Collaborate with partner e.g. bloggers since they have a strong fan base.
10. Reward Audiences for their Engagement:
  • Hosting contests and giveaways is a great way to increase exposure for consumer to like or share a post.
